Bernice, Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your brother. -Christopher W. Ware & Family-
The Board of Elders and members of the Normandie Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church wish to express our deepest sympathy and condolences for the loss of Brother Eugene Allen, a former member of our congregation. Brother Allen was a respected member of the Normandie Avenue Church, and was appreciated for the support of his wife, Annette Allen, and his church. Although Brother Allen moved to San Antonio, Texas, after the death of Sis. Allen, we continued to consider him a part of the Normandie Avenue family. We know that it is with great sadness that you grieve the loss of your loved one. Please be comforted in knowing that God loved Brother Allen and mourns his death, as well. Jesus expressed his love and grief at the death of mankind when he wept at the grave of Lazarus, his friend, as recorded in John 11:33-35. Brother Allen now sleeps in Jesus Christ, his lord and savior, and awaits the Lord himself [To] descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first (1 Thessalonians 4:16). [Then,] this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortalitythen [it] shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory (1 Corinthians 15:53, 54). In closing, Steen and Allen family please know that God loves you and wants to save you in his heavenly kingdom. We pray that during this time of grief, God will wrap his arms around you and comfort you. May Gods blessings rest with you, and grant you indescribable peace. And, may the memories of Brother Allen bring smiles to your continence. Yours in Christ
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I can remember the times that mama would talk about her and Uncle Gene growing up as brother and sister. And she had fond memories of him. Stay strong and you are in our prayers.
