Faye Willie Arkadie was born in El Campo, Texas to Giles Arkadie and Marquerite Singleton on May 25, 1937. Faye passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 5, 2017.
As a young woman she met and married Clem Coleman. To this union nine children were born. Faye was an avid fisherman and had a strong passion for cooking. She spent several days fishing in Corpus Christi and woulld sleep in the bed of her truck. Her tackle box was filled with all her hook and her small bible which was worn from reading it. Faye loved to travel to places such as Las Vegas, New York and Canada. She was always ready to go to the casinos, play cards as well as dominoes. Faye was the type of mother you wanted to have. She was the backbone of the family and always opened her doors to others. She was the type of mother who stood by her children unconditionally, regardless of the circumstances. As a young child she openly accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a God fearing woman. Faye was a dedicated cook at Fort Sam Houston for over twenty years. Faye occupied several businesses in San Antonio. She was joyful, big hearted and showed everyone unconditional love.
Faye was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clem, Sr.; her sons Eddie, George and Clem, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories her seven children, James Arkadie, Brenda Arkadie, Bernard Coleman, Jarvis (Tandlyn) Coleman, Ronald Coleman, Donald (Shirley) Coleman and Gerald (Anna) Coleman; step-children, Vernon (Barbara) Galloway, Claude Coleman; twenty five grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren along with a host of relatives and friends.

My Sue-Sue, you will be remembered in my heart. When I first moved to San Antonio Aunt Faye and Uncle Clem opened their hearts and home to me. I will always cherish the memories of the good times.
