Felicia Dawn Grant was born in Cuero, Texas on November 15, 1959. She was affectionately known as Lisa by family and friends. She died after a long illness on Sunday, September 7, 2025. She was reared in San Antonio, finishing her education at Sam Houston High School. She worked in the telecommunications field for many years, and retired in 2021. She loved traveling with her family and hosting breakfasts and dinners for them. To say that she held her family together is an understatement, relatives recall. She was an avid reader. Felicia was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on December 5, 1992. Throughout her life, she expressed hope in the scriptural promise at Revelation 21: 3, 4. Those words continue to sustain her many friends and family. She was a member of the Houston Terrace Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Felicia was preceded in death by her mother, Julene Lee Grant and her father, D.L. Tilford Grant Sr.; and stepmother Ruby Grant. She is survived by her three brothers, D.L. Tilford Grant Jr., Darren Grant Sr., and Wayman Griffin, all of San Antonio; a stepbrother Reginald Brown, also of San Antonio; aunts, Mildred Grant Mathews of San Antonio, and Katherine Lee Peters of Adkins; and her uncle, Alvin Lee of San Antonio; three nephews and a niece; three great-nieces and two great-nephews; her many cousins and friends.
