August 5, 1948 ~ December 25, 2010
Franklin James "Pancho " Kruse entered the Gates of Heaven Christmas Day, 2010. Pancho was born August 5th, 1948 in San Antonio to Clarence and Mary Louise Kneupper Kruse. A master plumber all of his adult life, Pancho was a valued employee of Mason Plumbing, Ashley Plumbing, John Albert Plumbing and finally became self employed owning Frank's Plumbing Company. His work was important to him but his heart belonged to his hunting and fishing. He always took his Labrador Sugar with him everywhere including his plumbing jobs and his hunting trips. Sugar also entered the Gates of Heaven with Pancho on Christmas Day. Pancho made many friends along the way and was known throughout the community for his love of life and his work. Pancho really enjoyed spending time with all his hunting buddies he made throughout the years. One of his friends couldn't hunt any longer so Pancho brought his buddy Al Pancoast a deer every year. Pancho married the love of his life, Tina Sims, on May 6th, 1972 and together they raised their family on the southeast side of the city. Two daughters and a son survive: Tammy Flanagan and her husband Tom, Brenda Kruse and Danny Casey and a son, James Kruse and Tiffany Kotara. A longtime family friend, Sandra Knopp also survives; she was just like a daughter to Pancho. Marie Angermiller, Tina's mother also survives. Four grandchildren survive: Alexandrea and Dillon Kruse and Danny and Dalton Flanagan. Pancho was predeceased by his parents, his twin brother Freddy, brother David and two sisters, Diane and Frances Kruse. Surviving brothers include: Ronnie, Johnny and his wife Virginia and Robert Kruse and his wife Gail. Sisters who survive him are: Debbie and her husband John Hartley, Elizabeth Crawford, Patti Kruse, Cindy and her husband Dwayne Dischinger and Lori Loretta Lyn Perkins. Numerous cousins, nephews and nieces also survive. Pancho's favorite saying was" Life goes on. It stops for nobody. Nobody gets out of this world alive." A Celebration of Pancho's life will take place at 2:PM on Thursday, December 30th, 2010 at Meadowlawn Tribute Center, 5415 E. Houston St. San Antonio, Texas with Brother Joe Stansell officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Pancho's memory to the San Antonio Humane Society, 4804 Fredericksburg Road San Antonio, Texas 78229. To leave a note for the family, please go to meadowlawn.net and select Obituaries. Arrangements by Meadowlawn Crematory and American Mortuary.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kruse family. I have known Brenda for many many years but just recently met Pancho. He was a very likable man but more importantly he and Tina did a wonderful job raising great children! So though he maybe gone his beautiful reflections, his children and grandchildren, will live out his legacy.
Brenda, On my way to work every morning I would meet your dad and sugar on the road. Just seeing these two sitting side by side in that old truck always put a smile on my face. The fact that God took them together is a comforting thought for me knowing they will not have to go on without each other. I hope they have many early morning taco runs in heaven together.
