Born in:
San Antonio , Texas
Resided in:
China Grove , Texas
Franklin Winston Napier Sr., age 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Franklin was born in San Antonio and raised on a farm in Seguin, where his younger years taught him the values of hard work, perseverance, and survival—lessons that shaped the man he would become. He attended Ball High School in Seguin, Texas, and went on to live a life marked by dedication, service, and strong faith.
A man of many talents, Franklin worked for the City of San Antonio and Kelly Air Force Base. He also devoted himself to his church communities, helping to build two churches—Maranatha Bible Church and Agape Christian Church—where he faithfully served as financial minister.
Franklin was a man of deep and unwavering faith who instilled strong values and morals in his family. He was a natural leader, a devoted son, and a loving caregiver who faithfully cared for his parents in their later years.
Affectionately known as “Big Frank,” he was well known for his skills as a pit master, having built his own special BBQ pit that produced some of the best brisket around. He also had a true green thumb, maintaining a garden for every season. And above all his many talents, family and friends will fondly remember that he made the best chocolate cake.
Franklin’s legacy of faith, hard work, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Napier Jr. and Iona Dickerson Napier; brothers, Ralph (Bubba) Napier III, Harold Napier, and Kenneth Napier.
Franklin will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years, Sherry (Pam) Napier; children, Pamela Napier Hess, Franklin W. Napier Jr. (Brandy), Jermaine Napier; grandchildren, Travon Napier (Hailey), Zyshonne Napier, Mia Hess, Mustafa Hess II, Franklin Winston Napier III; siblings, Hazel Williams (Robert), Bobby Napier (Sybil), Darrell and numerous other relatives and friends.

My condolences goes out to Frank and Pam. I’m so sorry for your loss. -
Miss you Uncle Frankie but I know that you are at peace and with your parents and brothers now. I’m taking good care of grandma’s rubber plant that you gave me. Rest peacefully, love Camille.
