We are blessed to have known you Gigi and wish all of God’s blessings on you, your family and friends.
What I remember most was Gee, Gee’s sweetness and how fond she was of Joe and Gretchen; how proud she was of the beautiful blue rosary that he gave her.
GiGi, we barely got to know you. But you can be so very proud of your Daughter, Gretchen, who shares her knowledge and compassion with her friends and neighbors to assist and help. These qualities don’t just happen but are taught by loving parents. Your job on earth is done. We wish you eternal rest.

My favorite memory is of Gigi on her 90th b-day with her Mexican Sombero. I was married to Gigi’s son Wayne. While he passed in 1970 my ties to the family did not go with him. Her passing leaves a big hole and we will always remember all the good times.
I remember the good times when Gretchen and I were girls. I use to come and stay a week at a time in the summer. Aunt Gertie was always so nice to me and very comforting when I was homesick. I will always remember her sweet nature and loving ways. She had a long good life and I’m sure God has made room for her and she won’t be homesick. Loving memories from your niece Marlita.
So sorry. You were blest to have her in your life for so long. Thank you for sending the notice.
I did not know her very, but I was the cousin of her son John Wayne Baran. I rembemer my uncle Judge John G. Baran taking John Wayne, my brothers, Nealon and Kenny, cousin Marvin Porter and George Bendar to Chicago Cubs and Bears games. John Wayne played on the Whiting High State Championship football team. I have a picture of him in action, which I will be willing to send to his family if they want it. My email address is gaskeybkhi@aol.com. We are very sorry for the loss of his mother.
Sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Jay
