Gilbert R. Garcia Jr.

Gilbert "Foxy" Garcia Jr., 84, passed away October 24, 2018. He was born September 11, 1934 To Gilbert and Guadalupe Garcia in Austin, Texas. Gilbert enjoyed playing and making music. He played the accordion masterfully with Conjunto Maravilla and many other Conjunto bands and artists. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Garcia Sr. and Guadalupe Garcia; son, Gilbert R. Garcia III; and granddaughter, Stephanie Marie Garzes. Gilbert is survived by his daughter, Martha J. Garcia; sons, Johnny and Jerry Garcia; sisters, Maria and Gloria Garcia, Helen Rocha, and Josie Casanova; brother, Jaime Garcia; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by friends, family, fans, and everyone who came to know him and his music.
