On August 13, 1933, Gladys Louise King Burton was born to Mr. And Mrs. J.B. King of Gonzalez, Texas. She was married to the late John W. Burton.
She joined East St. Matthew Baptist church, under the leadership of the late Rev. L.J. Nious and served faithfully after the death of Rev. Nious. Rev. Charles Nious was called until he retired.
Mrs. Burton leaves behind one sister, Ella Mae King; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, along with a host of family and friends.
