Retired U.S. Army First Lieutenant Gregory Courtney Sr., born in Waco, Texas on May 16, 1953 to Mattie Courtney Scott. Greg passed away Sunday October 26, 2014 after a difficult battle with cancer at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife, Angelica Courtney; daughter, Pamela Courtney, and sibling Russell Larkins. He was a devoted husband and father. During his life, he had a passion for knowledge in the medical field and accomplished five degrees; MSN, MBA, RN, BC, RRT. He liked to watch sports and read books. He will live forever in our hearts. No services, only a private ceremony.

My deepest condolences are extended to the Courtney family and friends. I remember Greg as a jovial individual who was scholarly driven and had a strong passion for helping others. He oftener mentioned his family as his motivation for continuing to challenge himself professionally and academically. He will truly be missed as he takes his place in the heaven above.
