Harry James Duhart, affectionately known as Jr. was born on April 6, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to Henderson Duhart and Audrey Kemp Duhart. Harry was baptized at an early age at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. W. G. Gillespie. He later joined Hutleigh Park Baptist Church under Rev. Johnnie Guyton, Jr. He graduated from St. Peter Claver High School where he excelled in academics and sports where he played football, basketball and ran track. Harry furthered his education, earning a Masters Degree in Industrial Arts from Prairie View A&M University . He taught for 34 years, 30 of which were in the SAISD as a Shop and ISS teacher. On December 22, 1966 Harry married the love of his life, Beulah Mae Ward and to this union a daughter, Harriet Michelle Duhart was born. Harry had a zeal for life and was passionate about the hobbies he pursued during his lifetime. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, drag racing, CB radio (Rolling Pin), pool, restoration of classic trucks and dominoes. He was a member of the East & West Dominoes Team. Most importantly Harry developed a closer walk with the Lord and he loved his family. He was a loving, husband, father, son, big brother, brother-in-law and friend who will forever be in our hearts. Harry was preceded in death by his father, Henderson Duhart; grandparents, Henderson and Callie McGarity Duhart; Wheeler and Roxie Flag Kemp. Harry leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Beulah; daughter, Harriet (Marcus); mother Audrey Duhart; sister Debbie Duhart-Anderson (Arthur); brother, Lawrence (Janis); devoted friends, Jesse and Joann Esparza, a host of relatives and friends.
