It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Horace Paul Fields, who went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born on January 30, 1938, and from the very beginning lived a life filled with love, faith, and generosity.
Horace was a man of courage and compassion, known by all who met him as caring, kind, and endlessly giving. Fearless in spirit and loveable in nature, he had a way of making those around him feel cherished and supported. He found God at an early age and remained a devoted follower of Christ throughout his life, living as a true example of faith in action.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—whether it was casting a line while fishing, turning a wrench as a skilled mechanic, or relaxing at home watching country shows and Criminal Minds. These moments reflected both his hardworking spirit and his ability to enjoy the world around him.
Above all else, Horace loved his family deeply. He was a steady and guiding presence as a father, a source of warmth and wisdom as a grandfather, and a blessing beyond measure as a great-grandfather. His legacy of love, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be remembered with gratitude and love by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
