Inez G. Hernandez born January 24, 1939 went to be with our Lord Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the age of 81. Inez is preceded in death by her son, Henry Hernandez; husband, Julian Hernandez Sr. She will be greatly missed by her children, David Hernandez and his wife, Maria Teresa; Julian Hernandez Jr. and his wife, Eloisa; Rosemary Garcia and her husband, Albert; Paul Hernandez and his wife, Raquel; grandchildren, David Jr., Lupe, Michelle, Rachel, Albert Jr., Julianne, Kandra, Julian and Vivian; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Shelby Rose, Christopher, Catelyn, Gabriel, Jarren, Saleen, Evan, Alyssa, Saylor Priya and Sienna Layne; brothers, Alex Zimmerle, Armando Zimmerle, Augustine Zimmerle; sisters, Guadalupe Pina, Flabia Gallegos; her longtime companion of 37 years Joel Castillo and her beloved dog Bunny Rabbit.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife. Inez enjoyed cooking many meals for her children, but even more she loved just being with her family for gatherings where she enjoyed music, dancing and telling the stories of her past and all the things that she had overcome in her life to educate her grandchildren and great grandchildren and always making them laugh. In 1987 she obtained her cosmetology instructors license and began her career as a bilingual cosmetology instructor and taught for over 25 years. She had a passion for her field and met several wonderful people along the way, she was greatly loved by her students. She prided herself on being self-taught to communicate with her students to teach them the proper bilingual terminology. She unwillingly retired at the age of 73 when her illness started to take a toll on her.
