Jacklyn Cruz, age 26 left us on September 28, 2014 with her father Leonard S. Cruz by her side at Kindred Care Hospital. Jacklyn spent her last few years in the company of her beloved mother Janet Tucker and stepfather Martin Tucker.
Jacklyn was born January 17, 1988 in San Antonio, Texas to Leonard S. Cruz and Janet Tucker. She graduated from Health Careers High School in 2006 and earned her NCAA and UIW Scholarship. Throughout Middle School and High School she was a member of the track team where she participated in cross country running. She loved music and played the viola and was a member of the orchestra.
She attended the University of Incarnated Word (UIW) in San Antonio, Texas where she was pursuing her dream in Sports Medicine. While attending UIW she met her boyfriend Sean Villarreal and they became inseparable. She devoted much of her time and energy to her education.
Her interest included Family, gardening, sewing, reading, cross country running and photography. She had a love for music and enjoyed swing dancing. Her charm and smile could enlighten any room in any given moment.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Jacklyn had an infectious smile that she could enlighten any room at any given moment. We all will miss her beautiful smile.
Miss Jacklyn Cruz is survived by her mother, Janet Tucker; father, Leonard S. Cruz; stepmother, Kim Cruz; stepfather, Martin Tucker; two step-brothers, Devin A. Cruz and Jaden A. Cruz; boyfriend, Sean Villarreal; Grandparents, Janie Alvarado, Jesus and Lucia Cruz, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
