James "Jim" W. Glascock

James "Jim" W. Glascock, 67, of Fredericksburg and San Antonio, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on February 23, 1948, where he lived most of his life. Jim was a Boy Scout in Troop 444 and earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout in 1962. He was a graduate of MacArthur High School where he was an accomplished swimmer. Jim earned a bachelor's degree in business in 1971 from Texas State University, in San Marcos, Texas. While at Texas State, he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, where he established longtime friendships. Jim had a 40+-year career as a real estate broker. He was a history enthusiast and loved the challenge of a good debate, on any subject. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth "Betty" Glascock, and sister, Carol Glascock Kopplow. Jim is survived by his wife, Amber, and the joy of his life, his daughter, Nora, of San Antonio. He is also survived by his niece, Carrie Kopplow Green and her family and nephew, Edward Kopplow, Jr., and his family, also of San Antonio.
