Jeffrey Russell Hochenedel

Jeffrey Russell Hochenedel (Jeff) was born on July 9, 1954 in Baton Rouge Louisiana, to Jack and Shirley Hochenedel, who preceded him in death. Jeff passed from this life on April 9, 2015, after a courageous battle with a brain tumor. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Hochenedel; sons Max and Russell Hochenedel, daughter Annabelle Ross, son-in-law Brendan Ross, daughter-in-law Laura Hochenedel, and grandchildren Sawyer, Blakely, and Nolan Ross, and Judah and Jubilee Hochenedel, sisters Susan Devoille and Jennifer Faith and brother-in-law Jean Claude Devoille.
Jeff graduated from Trinity University where he studied home building and business. He and Amanda married in 1978 and soon after settled in San Antonio. Jeff worked for Acme Brick for over twenty years. A long-time active member of First Presbyterian Church, Jeff served as usher, Sunday school teacher, and Deacon. He also coached youth soccer for many years.
A dedicated family man, Jeff was known for his big heart, abiding faith, sense of humor, and love of music. Jeff also was an enthusiastic photographer who especially enjoyed documenting family occasions and trips.
