On June 25, 1989, in San Antonio, Texas, a beautiful baby boy was born to David Lee and Tarwyn Stephanie Smith and they named him Jerome Maurice Smith. 1. Jerome was a great friend that volunteered each summer at our Free Spirits Track Festival. He helped the kids and coached them to be better at their events. Soft spoken with a heart of gold. I will miss him dearly.

  3. I am so saddened to hear of Jerome’s passing. He was one of my son’s best friends (Josh Corby). I have many great memories of Jerome coming to our house, especially when he was present for Josh’s going away party. He was a comedian and my whole family loved him. Josh is very sad and wanted to attend Jerome’s funeral, but he can’t because he’s afraid he’ll get fired from his job in Midland. Josh and his family have been praying for Jerome’s soul. He was a true Angel and now an Angel with God.

  15. My prayers and my condolences are with the Smith family. I went to school and was a teammate of his dad, David at Fox Tech. My family and Jerome’s family have known each other for a long time. Jerome was a great person. He inspired us. I remember that he was very humble after accomplishing grand feats such as going to the state championship as an athlete in high school and I remember when he achieved a black belt level in our karate organization. It was very inspiring especially since his dad David and Myself are black belts in the same Al Francis karate organization and we witnessed it with his family and friends and I remember how proud his mom and dad were. I send my love to his family.
