Jesse Brown, Jr.

On Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10:32 a.m. Jesse Brown passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 11, 1923 in Yucca, Mississippi to Matilda and Jesse Brown. He moved to Napoleonville, Louisiana where he met and married Carolyn Thomas. They moved to San Antonio, Texas and began his career at Sears and Roebuck. He retired after 28 years of service. Jesse was a loyal friend and superb father. He helped many people in his community and was loved by many. Jesse loved to gamble, enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and taking care of his family. He is survived by his children; Judy Ivy, Denise Brown and Jesse "JJ" Brown III; his grandchildren, Mechelle Ivy, Renee Ivy, Michael "Footie" Brown, Christopher Brown and Kenisha Brown; 11 great-grandchildren, Dimitre Ivy, Anthony Ivy, Jasen Ivy, Jamika Ivy, Anttwanae Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Kristiana Brown, Chris Brown, Alayla Visha Brown, Michael A. Brown Jr. and KiKi Brown; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. We all will miss this great loving, beautiful, spiritual and wise man. We love you.
