Jimmy Foster

February 27, 1934 ~ May 6, 2010

My dad was such a wonderful man. He was born February 27, 1934 and departed this life on May 6, 2010. He was born and raised in Atlanta GA and attended and graduated from South Fulton High school. On July 20, 1966 the love of his life was born-his devoted daughter, Peyton Yvonne. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the armed forces. He served 30-years in the United States Air Force before retiring. After retiring from the military he worked for the civil service until his health began to fail. He was a devoted father and was loved by all who knew him. Jimmy Foster was a wonderful man, and I am so thankful that God chose him as my father. I could not have asked for a better father. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving daughter, Peyton Bailey; son-in-law, John Bailey; sister, Bernice Foster; nephew, Robert Foster, Sr., and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday June 1, 2010 at Faith Deliverance Christian Church, 2018 Lake Harbin Road, Morrow, GA. A memorial for all of his friends in Texas will be held at a later date. I will post information about that on Meadowlawn's web-site. I honor and salute a life well lived! He is resting now and I will see him again on the other side.

One day soon, no resident will say: I am sick – Isaiah chapter 33 verse 24. We also yearn for the day when the aging process is reversed – Job chapter 33 verse 25. We yearn to see our dear loved ones again. Jesus promised, the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out -John chapter 5 verse 28 and 29.
