Jose Castilleja

Jose Castilleja, 58, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on July 4, 2025. He was born on April 17, 1967, in Fort Morgan, Colorado, to Dorotea Castilleja and the late Ruperto Castilleja Sr.

Jose was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. Known for his kind heart and laughter.

A lover of nature, Jose found peace in the outdoors.

Jose was preceded in death by his father, Ruperto Castilleja Sr., his sister, Margarita Quesada, and his brother, Manuel Castilleja. He is survived by his mother, Dorotea Castilleja of Aurora, Colorado; his siblings, Ruperto Castilleja Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Casimira Rodriguez of Aurora, Colorado, Ricardo Castilleja of Nampa, Idaho, Guillermo Castilleja of Puyallup, Washington, Dominga Castilleja of San Antonio, Texas, Juan Castilleja of Catarina, Texas, and Elena Kingsland of Littleton, Colorado.

Service arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, they request that donations be made to a charity of choice in Jose\’s name.

Jose will always be remembered for his kindness and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
