Jose M. Acosta

Jose Acosta born September 17, 1940 went to rest with his beloved wife Dominga Acosta on August 23, 2015. Jose was born in San Antonio, Texas to Maria and Jose Acosta, he was of the oldest sibling of eight brothers and sisters. At a very early age he started working to help support his family. Jose met his wife, Dominga, in the 1960's and they married, starting a family of their own. Jose worked as a dishwasher and later entered the construction industry. He taught his other family members along with his son's how to work in the construction industry. He was known as a good worker. He also worked at Olmos Park across from the Kenwood neighborhood where he lived. He was known as "Guietto" in the community. He loved being outdoors, he loved his family and grandchildren. He missed his wife of many years and never remarried. His memory will be cherished by his sons, Alex, Guy and Joe Acosta; his daughter, Nancy Acosta Salazar; his siblings, Nick and Manuel Acosta; sisters, Dora Alfaro, Connie Martinez and Lola Acosta; grandchildren, Raymond, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Kerry, Joey, Brian, Adrian and Crystal and youngest grandchild MJ Acosta. We will miss him, may he rest in peace.
