June 24, 1954 ~ June 27, 2021
Juan Antonio Rodriguez Sr. passed away June 27, 2021. He was born June 24, 1954 in Salinas, Puerto Rico to Juan Elias Rodriguez and Ana Colon. Juan was a devoted husband and proud father and grandfather. While attending high school, Juan played baseball – a sport he loved. Close friends and teammates came to call him “Hoover” since any ball that came his way seemed to get sucked right into his glove. After school, Juan enlisted in the U.S. Army; served our country for 6 years as a nuclear weapons specialist. During his enlistment Juan fell in love with two things- his beautiful wife, Vicky, and exploring the world. Together, they traveled as often as they could and visited a multitude of countries. Juan also enjoyed fishing and could be found most weekends out on lakes, creeks and ponds with his children when they were young. Juan's greatest love of all, however, was his family. He had a very special bond with his youngest grandson, Mason. Juan is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 42 years, Vicky Rodriguez; daughter, Victoria (Eric) Rodriguez-Johnson; son, Juan Rodriguez Jr.; grandson, Mason Johnson; daughter, Tieysha (Alex) Rodriguez; daughter, Shanica Rodriguez; grandsons, Anthony Torres, Manuel Soto, Nathan Rios; siblings, Jose Rodriguez, Ana Maria Rodriguez, Maria Nela Ortiz, Nereida Godoy; extended family and friends.
