It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, Juana G. Campos, affectionately known as “Juanita G. Campos” who left us peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born on April 23, 1936, Juanita lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and a boundless love for her family. She was a woman of quiet strength and enduring spirit—a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a remarkable example of hard work and resilience. Through every chapter of her life, she carried a twinkle in her eye and a joke on her lips, always ready to lift the spirits of those around her.
Music played a central role in Juanita’s life. Whether humming along to her favorite tunes in the kitchen or dancing to the rhythm of old records, she found joy in every note and shared it freely with her family. Her home was always filled with music, laughter, and the rich, comforting aromas of her unforgettable Mexican cooking. Her homemade dishes brought generations together and will be dearly missed at every family gathering.
But nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren. Known lovingly by all of them as “MoMo,” she embraced her role with unmatched love, delighting in their achievements, comforting them in times of need, and showering them with the wisdom and unconditional support only a grandmother like her could offer. To them, she was more than a grandparent—she was their biggest cheerleader, their confidante, and their heart.
Juanita leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family. She is preceded in death by her son, Alfonso Ramirez Jr.
Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we are comforted by the memories we carry—memories filled with her music, her humor, her stories, and the meals she made with so much love. Her love will echo in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her loving children: Mary Avila (Jaime), Salvador Ramirez (Veronica), Gerardo Ramirez, Rosalie Tejeda (Roy), Refugio Campos III, Alejandro Campos (Rosario), Eduardo Campos; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother Fidel Gonzalez, and many other close relatives and friends, all of whom will carry forward her spirit in their lives.
My beautiful mom. The most strong, independent person I have ever known. She didn’t have much but was always willing to help someone in need. She always told me if ever someone you know needs something, help them. This world takes many turns and someday you.may need the help. Love you Mom.
