Lanell Steen was born in San Antonio, Texas, July 8, 1965 and passed away May 8, 2018 in her hometown. She attended Pershing Elementary, Emerson Middle School, and Wheatley High School in San Antonio. After her first child, she enrolled and graduated from cosmetology school. Local Channel 5 was her go to and loved watching it all day long. She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Gene Steen; parents, William Henry Steen Sr. and Evelyn Vivian Borrego; Grandparents, Hase Vivian Sullivan and Albert Anderson; brother, William Henry Steen Jr.; and nephew, Michael Jerome Steen. She leaves behind her daughter, Tiffany Dotson (Frank); siblings, Leona Slaughter, Maryann Knowles (Anthony), Victor Steen, and Mr. Tracy Steen; grandchildren, Bruce, Roberta, Adrian, and Deajah; and numerous other nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and Quitta.
