Ms. Lidia Alonso passed away suddenly at her home on January 6, 2026. She was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico, to Minerva Navarro.

Lidia was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose strength, honesty, and loving spirit shaped the lives of everyone who knew her.

She raised her children through her own strength and sacrifice, always placing their needs above her own. Lidia was known for speaking her mind, having no filter, and never being afraid to share how she felt — whether it was her love, her advice, or her hard-earned wisdom. Her children and grandchildren often laughed at her blunt honesty, but they also cherished it, because it always came from a place of love and care.

She had a generous heart and always looked out for others. One of her greatest joys was cooking for her family — making sure everyone was fed, comforted, and together around the table. She was a fun, loving mother and grandmother who left behind countless memories filled with laughter, warmth, and life lessons.

Lidia is survived by her children: Maria Avila; Perla Hernandez (Oscar); and Tomas Avila (Lillie).

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Amber Avila, Luis Palos, Francisco Palos, Emily Avila, Christian Avila, Anthony Avila, Adam Avila, Amarie Avila, Oscar Hernandez Jr., Bryan Hernandez, Emma Hernandez, Javier Hernandez, Felix Hernandez, Bryana Avila, Aubry Avila, and Nadia Avila.

Her great-grandchildren include: JJ, Delilah, Aitana, Luisito, Luciana, Jose Luis,Alexander, Sebastian and Hassan.

Her chosen family member, Jose Martell.

She is also survived by six siblings, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Lidia was preceded in death by her beloved son, Arturo Avila; her grandson, Antonio Palos; her mother, Minerva Alonso; and her sister, Dora Elia.

Lidia’s strength, honesty, love, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. Her legacy lives on through the many generations she raised, guided, and loved so fiercely.
