March 13, 1960 ~ July 31, 2020
On Friday July 31st, 2020, Linda I. Gallegos Torres, loving mother, grandmother and friend left this earth much too soon. She is preceded in death by her father, Feliciano E. Gallegos; her mother, Rosa S. Gallegos and her beloved sisters, Yolanda Cortez and Esperanza Mendoza. She is survived by her children, Vanessa and Zachary Barnes, Phil V. Torres, Phylicia I. Torres, and Desiree H. Torres. She is also survived by grandchildren, Violet Barnes and Colt Barnes; as well as her siblings, Feliciano S. Gallegos, Jr., Rosario G. Guerrero, Felipe S. Gallegos, Diana G. Rodriguez and Rosemary Arce.
The Ocean had been calling out her name when the tide went out each evening. She felt she should do the same. The waves tugged at her ankles. We couldn’t understand and asked why. Simply said the arid world had turned her lungs hard and dry. Then in late July, she slipped away like water from our hands. Left nothing but footprints in the sand, And I hope she found the ocean. Like a wave that crashes and is gone too fast, we admire all her beauty - a mermaid that left too soon.
Guestbook
My heart goes out to Vanessa, Felicia, Philip and Desiree. Your mother was a “GREAT” lady, I’m sure you guys know that. I had the pleasure of knowing her for about 40 years. She was like a sister to me, I met her when she was working at Summers. She truly wore her heart on her sleeve. Recently I had the pleasure of going to Ulta with her. I will miss her so much, my heart hurts so much since she went away. I will miss her random texts, ” Hey, what are you doing? Let’s go eat!!” 😭😭
Sorry for the family loss! Linda raised some great children n grandchildren. You will be missed. RIP Linda. Prayers 🙏🙏🙏
My condolences to Linda’s family and friends. With a heavy heart I will say I loved Linda so much. She was one of a kind. She had infectious laugh and a smile that lit up a room. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She loved taking pictures and making memories. I would laugh at her because she would aim the camera so high but she said it made us look better 😍. I pray it brings her children some comfort knowing how much she was loved. She will be deeply missed 😢🙏🏻❤️✝️
I’m so sorry for your loss Desiree and family. May your mom rest in peace 🥺
