Louis Charles Attaway

louis attaway
Louis Charles Attaway, age 82, passed away December 25,2018. A welder by trade and a local school bus driver after retirement. Many will remember him for his work in the community as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Since 1959 he enjoyed helping as many as he could to learn more about his God, Jehovah. (Psalms 83:18) He with his wife, referred to affectionately as Dottie, would volunteer their time going door to door answering questions from the Bible. Even in his last days he would pray to see the end of suffering and the earth transformed into a beautiful paradise earth under God’s kingdom. (Daniel 2:44; Luke 23:43) His warm smile and inquisitive nature will be missed. Many will remember him for his encouraging visits both at home and at the hospital. His firm hope in the resurrection will be explained in a free Bible talk on January 12, 2019 at 3855 Grosenbacher Rd, San Antonio, TX at 3:30pm. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dottie and son, Lacy. He is survived by four siblings, two sons, and several grandchildren. www.jw.org

Guestbook

  1. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of my dear spiritual brother. I look forward to meeting him in the new world when no one will ever get sick, grow old, or die. For now he is safe in our Heavenly Father’s memory. I will include Josh McDonald and his family in my prayers. May Jehovah give you strength during your time of grief. Isaiah 40:29 “He gives power to the tired one and full might to those lacking strength. Love, Dereck Smith

  2. Hello. As I was looking for people to share the good news with online, I came across Brother Attaway. I call him my brother because I, too, am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It is so nice to hear that my brother took preaching so seriously and he was a friend of Jehovah. My dearest condolences to the Attaway family and the dear brothers in that congregation. It is an honor being friends with the one who promises and will resurrect our loved ones, including brother Attaway. I hope these lyrics of song 140 bring you comfort: Paradise all will enjoy As we sing of God’s glory. Long as we live, we will give Honor and praise to God. (CHORUS) Sing out with joy of heart! You too can have a part. Live for the day when you’ll say, “Life without end, at last!”
