Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

With heavy hearts, the family of Mrs. Machell D. Conner shares her peaceful passing on December 6, 2025. Born on March 28, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, Machell was the beloved daughter of C.W. and Elvira Wilson.
Machell was a proud graduate of Memorial High School, and from early on, she carried a natural gift for caring for others. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide, a calling that fit her perfectly. Whether it was patients, loved ones, or strangers who crossed her path, Machell always did what she could to help. She had a heart that stayed open, generous, and tender.
Hardworking and full of energy, Machell poured love into everything she did. She was a fantastic cook, a music lover who kept a song in her spirit, and a woman who absolutely adored shopping. She always made sure she stepped out looking her best — stylish, confident, and glowing.
Machell leaves behind a family who loved her deeply: her daughters, Tammi Laury and LaGloria Mims, and her son, Roger Mims; her companion of 28 years, Elmer Polk; siblings, Geraldine (Clyde) Bias, Mary Maddox, C. W. Wilson Jr., Jeanette Moore and James Wayne Wilson; her 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of extended family and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ollie V. Johnson; her brother, Melvin L. Anthony; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Machell’s kindness, her laughter, and the way she made everyone feel cared for will continue to ripple through the many lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
