Madelyn Sherrell Woodbury, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 28, 2012 in San Antonio, at the age of 88 after a courageous 1 1/2 year battle with renal cell cancer. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Madelyn Lucille Musante was born in Detroit, MI, January 9, 1924. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Helen Musante, and her husband of 56 years, Lt. Col. Aultman (Al) L. Sherrell, USAF, (Ret.). She is survived by her husband, Commander Robert E. Woodbury, USN, (Ret.), and his 4 children, Steve Woodbury, Anne Johnson (Tom), Jim Woodbury (Kim), Margaret Smith, and his 7 grandchildren. Also survived by Madelyn's 3 children, Mark Sherrell (Terry) of Round Rock, Lorelei Campbell (Allan) of San Antonio, and Suzanne Alkek (Mike) of Kerrville, and her 5 grandchildren, Craig Sherrell, Rachel Sessions (Michael), Chris Campbell, Heather Campbell, and Mallory Collins. A private family graveside ceremony will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
