Manuel Bolden was born April 27, 1973 to Roosevelt and Earnestine Bolden. He was the fourteenth of sixteen children.
Manuel attended the local schools in Silas, Alabama, graduating from Southern Choctaw High School. Following graduation, he relocated to San Antonio, Texas. He met Lucy Rodriguez and they were married. Three beautiful children were born to this union. Manuel worked for AutoZone for many years until the company relocated. He changed careers and entered the construction field, where he had a contract with Dollar General.
Manuel was a good man and a hard worker. He loved his children and family. He was a jokester and liked to dance, his presence would liven up a room. He was also an avid fisherman and a lover of sports, especially basketball and football where the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys were his favorite teams.
Manuel was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby Joe Bolden, Roosevelt Bolden, Jr., Tommy Lee Bolden and Eugene Bolden; sisters, Lisa L. Bolden O’Field and Christine Bolden Gaines.
His memory will be cherished by his children, Angelica Rodriguez Bolden, Manuel Bolden and Marcus Bolden; siblings, Jimmy Bolden, J.B. Bolden, Johnny R. Bolden, James Bolden, Billy Bolden, Terrie Legrand, Betty Kimbrough, Arnette Duff and Jannie Dearmon; aunts and uncles, Sonny Bolden, Ella L. Cunningham, Fredonia, Margaret and Edell along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and a special friend, Craig Cates.
