Marcelino Flores went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the age of
86. He was born to the late Gavina and Felix Flores Sr. on May 4, 1936 in San Antonio, TX.
Marcelino retired after many years of working as an Aircraft Engine mechanic with Kelly AFB. On
his off time, he did photography for weddings and family photos. Marcelino enjoyed the
outdoors fishing, hunting and bowling. He was a master craftsman in woodworking of many
things such as cabinets, shelves, but his most precious craft was his crosses and Christian fish
symbols he made for his family and friends. Marcelino was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He
enjoyed watching his western movies, “John Wayne” being his favorite. Although he had many
passions, his favorite was reading his Bible and praying. A member of Faith Outreach Center
International, he served as Home Cell Leader, in the Men’s Ministry, and a Deacon. He loved
singing in the church choir for many years. His favorite song is “Amazing Grace”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rosa Hernandez (Joe); daughter, Sylvia
Gonzales. Marcelino will be dearly missed by his wife of 31 years Mary Lou Flores; children,
Steve Flores (Felicia), Richard Gonzales, Mona Davis (Charles), Michelle Solis, Gene Ledesma
(Norma); 14 grandchildren; 2 great granddaughters; sister, Hortense Chapa (Juan); brother, Felix
Flores (Adelina, deceased) and many nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday the 16th of November at 10 am at
Faith Outreach Center International located at 3806 Sunshine Ranch Rd., San Antonio, TX 78228.

I enjoyed Marcelino’s friendship over the years. We would often hang out at action packed movies and get lunch afterwards.
I will miss him dearly but know that he is in a much better place of not suffering anymore.
He was such a calming soul with a gentle spirit. Rest peacefully my friend.
