marcelo jimenez
Marcelo Jimenez Jr. 1946 to 2016 We regret to announce the passing of Marcelo Jimenez Jr. known to many as "Moe" of San Antonio, Texas. Moe was a graduate of Burbank High School; Class of 1965. A wonderful family man, dedicated and hardworking, first as a welder for Mosher Steel Company in the 1970's. Then he became a professional painter for Kelly AFB working his way from housing to airplane parts over 20+ years of civil service. Marcelo's passion for the arts was displayed early on. He had a love for the cello and was proud to have performed with the San Antonio Symphony as a youngster. His hobbies included creating stained glass, personalizing his trucks to the hilt, playing cards, the lottery & even Ping Pong. Ultimately, his love of sports included the Dallas Cowboys, our San Antonio Spurs, and all things Longhorn. As a proud Texan, he bled burnt orange and could often be found watching Texas football or basketball on his big screen. Marcelo's deepest and most cherished love was for his family. Born on August 8, 1946, he went to be with our Lord on February 1, 2016. Moe was taken too soon, but met in heaven by his wife of 32+ years, Diana Ibarra Gomez Jimenez, his parents Marcelo and Margarita Medellin Jimenez, brother Antonio Coronado Jr. and son in law Robert Dale Olier. Moe is survived by his beloved siblings Blanca Coronado, Olga and husband Rene Forey, son Marcelo "Andy" Jimenez and wife Demetria; daughter Analisa Irene Olier; granddaughters Hannah Ximia Jimenez and Giana Dezaray Jimenez; numerous nieces, and nephews, and many friends from far and wide. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 2114 W Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78207 at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the 100 Club of San Antonio. Marcelo lived by his uncompromising principles of integrity, service, security and stability. His legacy will continue to live on in those who loved him. Go Cowboys!
