With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, Maria Esther Alvarado Salas. Born on February 28, 1932, Maria peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 19, 2025, at the age of 93.
Maria’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, creativity, and kindness. She had an extraordinary gift for creating beauty around her, through the delicate stitches of her embroidery, the vibrant colors that danced on the pages she brought to life, and the warmth of her crocheted creations. Each piece she crafted was infused with her gentle spirit and offered with heartfelt love. Her family and friends will forever cherish her memory, remembering her as a bright light of kindness and compassion. Maria had an incredible ability to make everyone feel welcomed and cherished, bringing warmth to even the simplest moments. Her zest for life and passion for dancing spread joy not only to her but also to all those around her.
Maria is preceded in death by her loving parents, Atanacio C. Alvarado and Torivia Estrada, as well as her brothers, Porfirio E. Alvarado and Pedro Estrada Alvarado, and her cherished sisters-in-law, Frances G. Alvarado and Maria O. Alvarado. As a devoted daughter, loving sister, and treasured aunt, she leaves behind a profound void in our hearts. Her laughter, warmth, and gentle strength will stay with us and live on in the cherished memories we hold dear. Her legacy will be lovingly carried by her brother, Arturo E. Alvarado; her nieces, Gilda, Norma, Ja’net, Veronica, and Ysabel; her nephews, James, Porfirio Jr., Ernest, Gilbert and Richard; as well as her great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family and friends who adored her.
Though Maria is no longer with us in body, the love she shared and the beauty she created will forever be a source of inspiration, encouraging us to continue spreading kindness and creativity in the world. We will miss her deeply, but we are grateful for the time we had with her.
