Maria Valdez Guerrero

maria guerrero
It is with great sadness and sorrow to announce the passing of our mother, Maria V. Guerrero in Lytle, Texas on May 26, 2018. She was born September 25, 1925 to Juan Valdez and Julia Aleman in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Maria loved sewing, tending to her lovely flower garden, and all of her animals. Her animals were goats, chickens, peacock, rabbits, cows, rams, and emus. Of which, she would normally milk the cows and goats by hand. She especially loved cooking for her family on her wood burning stove. Nothing was more important to her than her family. Maria made the best bean and cheese tacos on that stove, and was known for chopping the wood to be burned, herself. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juan Macias Guerrero. She is survived by her children, Jose, Sylvia, Juan, Alice, Esther, Juliana, Margarito; 22 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
