Mariellen Shepphard

Mariellen (William) Shepphard, a beautiful woman entered the world bringing forever joy to her family. She was born on October 03, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas to the union of Eddie William and Claytie (Polk) Davis. Mariellen attended the public school system in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1939. She was a seamstress for many years and carried herself with dignity, honor, integrity and most of all, respect. As a seamstress, she worked very hard and provided the best possible life she could for others. Mariellen spoke highly of her grandchildren and made known that they were all her pride and joy. As a friend, she was loved and cherished and always expressed unconditional love. Although Mariellen has departed this life, she is forever embedded in our hearts and souls forever and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mariellen confessed Christ at an early age at St.Paul United Methodist Church where she was a faithful member until her health begins to decline. She was a member of the Alpha International Club in San Antonio, Texas. On Tuesday, June 15, 2010, in peace and calm, Mariellen departed this life in the presence of her beloved family. She was preceded in death by parent, Eddie William, Claytie (Polk) Davis, husband Raymond Shepphard, sister Minnie Marshal, brother Eddie Williams Jr. and two sons Ralph Shepphard and Robert Taylor. Those left to carry on her legacy of love: Her grandchildren, Michael Shepphard, Michelle McEwen, Melanie Benson, husband (Jeroyl), Bridgette Shepphard, Andrea Perkins, and Shawn Shepphard; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren, one nephew, Kenneth Harris and two dear devoted friends, Louis and Adell (Polly) Polk and host of relative and friends. Mariellen will be missed by many.
