With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and spiritual matriarch, Martha Escamilla, who went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2025.
Born on June 8, 1968, in Guadalajara, Mexico, Martha was a woman of unwavering faith, joy, and compassion. She lived her life as a devoted servant of God, dedicating herself fully to her calling as a minister and spiritual leader. A pillar in her church and her community, she was known for her vibrant praise, often lifting her voice in joyful mariachi-style worship that brought people closer to God and filled hearts with the Holy Spirit.
Her passion for spreading the Word was matched only by the warmth of her presence. Martha was a natural mentor, always ready to guide with wisdom, love, and gentle humor. Her selflessness knew no bounds—whether she was comforting a friend, preparing a meal for someone in need, or offering prayer and encouragement, she did it with kindness and humility.
To her family, she was everything. A devoted mother and grandmother whose love ran deep, a loyal sister who stood strong in every season, and the joyful heart that held everyone together. Her cooking brought people to the table, but it was her spirit that kept them close. Quick to laugh and always ready with a story, Martha reminded us all what it means to live with grace and purpose.
Martha is preceded in death by parents Antonio Martinez and Guadalupe Iñiguez, as well as siblings Chuy and Chela. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of thirty-seven years Juan, children Beatriz Escamilla-Perez (Orlando), Maria Luisa, Jonathan Alejandro (Yahaira), Diane Abigail Escamilla, siblings Javier, Pedro, Chico, Irene, Graciela and Rosie Martinez. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and faith that will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her. Though our hearts ache with her absence, we rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, singing heavenly praises as beautifully as she did here on earth.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
