Mary C. Beltran
August 4, 1926 ~ April 3, 2010
Mary C. Beltran passed away peacefully at her daughter's residence in Atascosa on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the age of 83. Mary was born on August 4, 1926 in Galveston to Felix Cortez and Andrea Martinez Cortez. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew, and by two sons, Albert and Arthur Beltran. She is survived by her children, Andrew III (Jenny), Alfonso, Alfred (Deborah), Brian Lee, Betty (Gilbert) Rangel, Anna Marie (Ramiro) Longoria and Alicia Diane. In addition, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive Ms. Beltran. Mary retired as a teacher's aide from Lightfoot School in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin-a profession she truly loved! Her hobbies included reading, crocheting, knitting, painting, dancing and gardening. Though born and raised in Texas, Mary and her husband decided to move to Wisconsin in the mid 1980's. Mary and her family enjoyed the changes in seasons and coming back to the San Antonio area for vacations. Mary was loved by many and will be missed tremendously. May she rest in peace. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Meadowlawn Tribute Center, 5415 E. Houston St., SAT 78220. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 pm on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Tribute Center. Burial will take place at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
