matthew galvan

February 1, 2005 ~ March 9, 2026

Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

Matthew Xavier Galvan was born February 1, 2005. On March 9th, 2026 at the age of 21 he was called to be with our Lord God. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, as he would say “the big 210”. Matthew attended and graduated from G.W Brackenridge High school. Upon graduating, Matthew worked as an apprentice for a fire sprinkler union AFPG.

Aside from working so hard, Matthew was the best hooper. He played basketball while attending Poe Middle School and made it on the banner as he marked his success.

Matthew was a dream chaser. Whatever he set his mind to, he pursued with determination—no matter how big or small, simple or extravagant. Once he set his sights on a goal, he did everything he could to make it his reality.

Despite all the success he achieved and the dreams he pursued, the brightest thing about Matthew was his smile. His smile was so radiant it could make the angels sing—it was truly one of the most beautiful smiles anyone could ever see. There was simply something special about it. And there was no laugh quite like Matthew’s. His laugh was so contagious that before you knew it, you’d find yourself laughing right along with him.

As Matthew journeyed through life, he became an inspiration to everyone around him, touching countless hearts. He was a positive role model whose kindness and character left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Matthew was truly beloved. He was not only a devoted son, but also a cherished grandson, a loving big brother, a nephew, a cousin, an uncle, and a loyal friend. His presence left a mark that will never be forgotten.

Matthew is survived by his parents, April Galvan (Floyd Trejo), Ray Martinez (Sandra Avila); siblings, Amisty, Adilyn, Nina, Camila, Lil Ray, Reyna, Isaiah, Elliot and Ares; niece, Adahlina; grandparents, Jesse and Susie Galvan, Brenda Escobedo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
