Minerva Aida Cruz passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the age of 80. Aida was born on October 20, 1930 in Puerto Rico, to Jose Cruz Roman and Dolores Zavala. She is survived by her son, Miguel Ricardo Velez; daughter-in-law, Manuela Velez; grandchildren, Miguel Ricardo Velez Jr, Kayla Montee Beard, Mason Miles Velez, Mathis Mateo Velez; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Monique Velez, Giovanni Alexander Velez, Julian Michael Velez, Kendal Mayer; siblings, Laura Cruz, Alicia Cruz Samplos. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Meadowlawn Tribute Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Tribute Center.
