With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Monica Denise Vargas, who left this world on September 4, 2025, at the age of 50. Monica was a vibrant, loving soul whose energy lit up every room she entered. She was the heartbeat of her family and a source of strength and joy to all who knew her.
Born on October 21, 1974, Monica was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret and Cecilio Vargas. She grew up surrounded by love and laughter with her siblings Daniel Vargas, Michael Vargas, Jason Vargas, and Cindy Vargas, forming bonds that remained strong throughout her life.
Monica was a devoted mother to her three cherished daughters: Loren Lamanna, Leah McCumber, and Victoria McCumber. Her love for her girls knew no bounds—she nurtured, protected, and inspired them every step of the way. She was also preceded in death by Phillip McCumber, father of two of her daughters.
Those who knew Monica will remember her as the life of the party. Her passion for dancing, singing, and cooking brought joy not only to herself but to everyone lucky enough to share in those moments. Whether she was moving to her favorite song, singing along to old classics, or making new memories, Monica poured her heart into everything she did.
Above all, Monica was resilient—a true fighter with a spirit that could not be dimmed. Her unwavering love for her family and friends was her greatest legacy. Her laughter, warmth, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Monica was my spicy meatball. I met her as being a patient of hers over the years and she always cared for us as we were her family. She was the badest chick you knew with the most gracious heart. This disheartens me to know of her journey has ended on earth, but I know she is resting up i heaven — who am i kidding! That chick aint resting! Shes tearing it up!! Rest easy girl! Sending love to the girls! She loved you all so much and bragged on you all often!
