October 27, 1972 ~ January 26, 2016
Monica Marquez Olivares , 43 entered eternal life and was led by our lord and savior Jesus Christ into the kingdom of heaven on January 26, 2016 after her long valiant battle with lupus. Her family admired her strong will to live and never give up attitude along with her unwavering faith in God. We thank God for the love and prayers of family, clergy, friends, and the many supporters that helped carry her through the seven years of the grueling illness. Yet, even throughout her own struggle with lupus she touched so many people in so many ways. Our family would like to give a special thanks to her kidney donor, Erica Palacios. Because of her beautiful act of kindness, Erica Palacios stands as a true testament To the saying, "what would Jesus do?" and because of that phrase, Monica's family and loved ones have had the opportunity to enjoy many special occasions with her. My deepest sympathy goes out to Monica’s husband Jose and her three children Ivana, Jose and Luis and to my dear friend Luz Maria Castillo and all the family. Jesus said in His word, “blessed are those who weep for they shall be comforted”. May each of you find this comfort in the knowledge that Monica is now safe, healed and made whole and loved in the bosom of the Lord. Prayers continuing for the family. Elizabeth Aboud
