Patricia Fay Reinke Johnson , born March 10, 1931 in San Antonio, Tx, passed away September 11, 2015, was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1949, and attended San Antonio Junior College. She is survived by her children, Stephanie Hollje Bromley, Pamela Hollje Lehmann, Mark Dixon Johnson; one grandchild, Garret Bromley. As well as numerous friends from all around town. Our mother had many unique qualities. One most special was her love for animals. She fed the feral cats at Brackenridge Park regularly. Her love for Jesus, art, plants, thrift stores and her '69 Mustang Mach 1 abounded! She always made a point of talking to all of her neighbors and anyone in all the stores she frequented. Even the mailman and the garbage men considered her a friend. The neighborhood children have fond memories of her and have shared their stories. Whenever anyone shares a ditty about our mom, laughter ensues. She will certainly be missed! Her memorial service will be on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Thrift Chapel at Trinity Baptist Church, 319 E. Mulberry. Guestbook

  1. My deepest sympathy to the family of Pat Johnson. She was a friend and school mate of mine in Elementary school at Highland Park. I always admired her artistic ability at such a young age. The teacher always chose her drawings to display. Pat and I had lots of fun playing after school and she was a very nice friend. I will miss her but will remember her fondly.

  2. I met Pat many years ago (1970’s) when we both had an interest in playing pool. We use to get together at least three times a week with all of our friends and family and have a great time. She was a lot of fun and always made me laugh. Pat was a very unique person with many interests. I will always remember her hardy laugh when she would get tickled about something someone said or did. I’m so sorry we lost touch with each other over the years. My condolences.

  3. Please accept my condolences to all who knew Pat Johnson; she was a good friend and neighbor. She lived across the street and up 1 house from mine on Sabyan Drive. She was well like by the neighborhood and will be sorely missed. RIP Pat !

I met Pat when I was a teenager but didn’t get to know her that well until I moved back here to San Antonio Sept 30, 2009. She was wonderfully eclectic in her home and her life. She did have a unique laugh, was very giving to others and to animals. I loved sharing God with her. I saw a painting that she had done that was really good. She had many artistic qualities. There were no strangers in her life , they were just people she had not met yet. She will be missed but not forgotten.

  5. Dear Johnson family. From your other Johnson family. I’m so sad and sorry for the loss of your mother. I can remember so many fond things of her and your family. She fed us kids, and watch us grow up to be big kids I Always saw her at the thrift store and Vogt auction. Never one thought with out that car of hers. We grew up together. She kicked butt and took names. Kept things in order. Helped me when I was so far down I didn’t see day light. But she reminded me of Gods place in my life. I loved your mom. So please know she’ll be missed. And the block won’t be the same without hearing the roar of her car or the laugh of a life time. Pull your family close and keep God in the mix. She’s watching all of us now. I can see my mom welcoming her in heaven right now.

  6. I have known Pat Johnson for some 52 years. Grew up with her children. What a fantastic family and what a loving mother she was to her children. She loved music, animals, thrift stores, and loved life. She was very active and proud of her neighborhood. She would park her car and I would see her once a week picking up trash on the street that lazy neighbors left laying in their yards. So our neighborhood would not look trashy!

She is a legend in our neighborhood and in our hearts she will be missed love to the family
