Patricia Smith Van Vleck went home to Jesus on July 20, 2011. She was born on December 31, 1937 to Joseph Smith and Charolette Tilley Smith. She married her high school sweetheart G. W. "Jack Van Vleck and taught in the Catholic school system and in the San Antonio School System as a special education teacher for nearly 20 years and graduated from Our Lady of the Lake College. She is survived by her husband G.W."Jack" Van Vleck Jr., of San Antonio, son, Richard Alan Van Vleck of San Antonio, daughter Jo Anna Roberts of Raleigh N.C., brothers; Alan Smith of San Antonio, Charles Smith of Austin, Terry Smith of Medina Lake, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was much loved and will be sorely missed. May God bless.
