Patti I. Roberts-Shelton

patti roberts-shelton
Patti Roberts Shelton was born on June 21, 1937 to Charles E. Roberts, Sr. and Glodine B. Hall in Bexar County, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Shelton, her mother, her father, her brother, Charles E. Roberts, Jr., her sister, Faith E. Roberts and her son, Earl L. Shelton. Patti was united in matrimony to Leon Shelton, and to this union four children were born: Timothy L. Shelton, Earl L. Shelton, Patricia A. Carter and Jeannine G. Hampton. Patti sadly leaves to mourn her three children, Timothy L. Shelton, Patricia A. Carter and Jeannine G. Hampton, and son-in-law George A. Hampton; three brothers, James H. Roberts, daughter-in-law Lolly Roberts, Gregory A. Roberts and Kenneth W. Roberts, and one sister, Glodine B. Roberts-Smith; and nine grandchildren: Shaneka Shelton, Earl Shelton, Jr., Erik Shelton, Christopher Carter, Patrick Carter, Jacqueline Shelton, Tiffany Hampton, Ashley Hampton and Alexis Hamptonall who affectionately called her "Tu-Tu." HISTORY OF LIFE Patti Roberts Shelton worked for the federal government (Ft. Sam Houston) as a civil service worker until she retired in 1995. Not one to rest on her laurels, Patti then worked as a teachers aid for the NEISD until she recently retired. Patti loved her grandchildren, and loved spoiling them to excess. There is probably not one grandchild of whom Patti did not take care of, or even had them live with her at some time in their lives. Patti loved flowers and loved cultivating them and watching them grow, especially roses. Patti will be remembered by her children and grandchildren for her generosity of self and time. And she will be remembered by her brothers and sisters fondly especially during the holidays and the summer barbecues and the hot days by the pool.
