Raquel (Rachel) Mercado, passed away March 25, 2021. She was born to Fred and Adela Garcia on January 6, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam R. Mercado, son Frank G. Mercado, sisters Ada Garcia, Nella Bernal and brothers Fred and Frank Garcia.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sonia Medina, grandchildren David and Javier Medina and Natalie Mercado; her sister Eva Coker; ten great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and her son Frank's companion Cynthia Crocker.

Rachel, was a loving, friendly neighbor for thirty nine years. She often would cook shredded chicken with beans and spanish rice, and send her husband, Adam, next door, with a plate for me. I cherished her, Adam, and son, Frank, dearly. They are at peace, with, Jesus. God, rest their souls! Charlie Marin
