Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Roger. My musical (everytime I see a Bari Sax, you are the first one I think of) childhood friend–you always expressed your ideas with passion and eloquence. I’m glad I had the opportunity to reconnect with you after so many years. I always enjoyed our lunches together–I only wish there had been more of them.

    May God Bless you.

  2. God be with you Colleen, Elyse, and Ethan, as well as the rest of Roger’s family as you deal with this most painful loss. Roger was a great guy in HS, and I’m sorry I didn’t get to know him better afterwards. I know he is soaring with the angels now, and that will hopefully bring you some peace. If you feel so burdened that you can’t go on, remember that God will carry you in your most painful times.

  3. My memories of Roger were always touched with sweetness that is shared by friends. You will continue to have your place in my heart. Go now, rest in God’s embrace and find joy in everlasting life in his presence, without pain and sorrow. To Elyse and Ethan, always remember his love for you – you were his pride and joy! May all of you be comforted in this time of grieving and healing.

  4. Roger was my godson and I am sad beyond words. “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace.”

  5. Rest Peacefully, Roger. Thanks for teaching me to water ski. Our thoughts are with your family now. Mark T

  6. My deepest sympathy and prayers to Roger’s family. I sat beside Roger in Band during our Sophmore year at Marshall and our Junior and Senior year at Clark in both concert and jazz band. He was always full of humor and so very sweet. It was wonderful seeing him at the last reunion and I so enjoyed hearing about his children. He was so very proud of them!!! May God’s comfort be with you in these days.

  7. I have only just heard this shocking news. Colleen, Roger will live on in your memories and the eyes of your children, as well as the memories of all of his friends and family. That is what it truly means to have life after life. His spirit made this world a better place. I hope you find comfort in that knowledge.

  8. I had the good fortune of being a young uncle to 2 nephews while still in high school. Roger is my godson. I remember taking Roger to DQ for ice cream in the summer in my ’47 Ford w/o A/C. He managed to eat alot before it melted all over him! We skiied alot at Medina lake. And we worked hard to keep the Bento, (Roger’s name for his Pinto), running. He was so proud of his family and accomplishments. The wonderful memories we have of Roger will help us through these difficult times. My prayers and sympathy go out to MJ, Colleen, Elyse, and Ethan. Rest in peace, Roger.

  9. What a fun cool Uncle! He was always encouraging music and tried to teach me songs that he like for me to play on cello…although, it never really worked out very well. He made Cody feel so welcome in the family and Cody loved being able to talk and hang out with him. My greatest memories of him are from him and Micah. I remember them swimming in the pool together and playing “ball” in the front hallway of GGs. We all loved him and he will be missed. We love you too, Colleen, Elyse and Ethan, very much!! Jenn

  10. Mary Jane, colleen, Elyse, and Ethan, my heart goes out to all of you at this sad time. May God be with you. I knew Roger since he was a young boy and he was a delight to know, always kind and polite. Even though I have not seen him in recent years he Will be missed.

May God have mercy on him and be with his family and carry them through their pain.

  11. My dear dear friend Mary Jane, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I can’t even imagine going through this . May God be with you and carry you on his shoulder.

  12. My deepest sympathies to Colleen, Elyse & Ethan, Roger’s mother and entire Briggs family. You have my prayers. I hope that Roger is in peace now and that the Briggs family finds strength and love with each other.

  13. My deepest sympathies to the family. Roger was a great guy. Had the good fortune to march next to him my freshman year at Marshall. I have many great memories of him. God is holding Roger in his arms. Magda Madla

  14. Colleen I am so sorry to hear about Roger. My deepest sympathy. You and the children will be in my thoughts and prayers.

  15. Mary Jane, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  16. I knew Roger as a co-worker in 2013 & early 2014. Just learned about his passing a few days ago. My sympathies to his family
