Born in Lozano, Tx- Rosa Ramirez married Antonio "Tony" Barbosa- 1958 relocating to San Antonio, Tx-1961 to raise children: Cynthia (marriage Keller), Mark, Randy, Rose (marriage Demir), Saul "Lil Bro". Also known on stage, "Pepper", was a charismatic & pioneering S.A. karaoke entertainer. Friends & family had an immense appreciation of her beauty, authenticity, creativity. Inspired by social changes of the 1960s- 70s' Civil Rights & Women's Movements, she embraced countercultural ideas, enjoyed a Bohemian lifestyle & the music of the period. Unconventional in thought, she was feminist & activist for the marginalized. Humanist, goal oriented, innovative for humane treatment of animals, progressive for the rights of food access for all, confections aficionado. Soulful, artsy, quirky, & cool. Above all loved her cats & kittens, r&b, funk, & disco music. Rosa's other soulmates by marriage were Tommie "Tomcat" Albertini; Arval "Smitty Boy" Smith; Howard Gleghorn; & Joaquin "Jack" Currie. Survived by 5 children; grandchildren Jacquline Rose Laws, Ian, Nicholas, & Tyler Keller, Austin Barbosa; great-grandchildren Isabelle Blue Rose & Tesla Keller, Jaxson Laws, Chloe, Cleo, Clover & others; son-in-law Tony Keller, & daughter-in-law Sarah Tavera.
