Roscoe Whitehead Huntington

Roscoe "Buddy" Whitehead Huntington, III, passed away on November 24, 2015 after many years of battling heart disease. He was born on September 22, 1934 in Back Bay, VA. Roscoe served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1952 to 1956. He then went on to lead a successful career in various management roles for more than 45 years. He was a loving husband, dedicated father and proud to be a recent grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Mary Elizabeth Huntington; brothers, Walter Huntington and Robert Huntington; sisters, Ethel Huntington Laguna, Mary Huntington and Audrey Huntington. Roscoe is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Angie McGee Huntington; daughters, Shae Huntington and Shannon Huntington Houghtaling; son-in-law, Gus Houghtaling; precious granddaughter, Holland Shae; brother, Jim Huntington and wife Betty; sister, Thelma Huntington Ansell; sisters-in-law, Nancy Jeffreys, Bonnie Trent and Lydia Huntington; numerous nieces and nephews; the Satcher family; and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 9 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
