I\’m sorry for the loss of the friends and family that he touched. He and I went to San Francisco Javier Church and we\’re in the youth group together. I remembered that he would teach me to play the trumpet but I wasn\’t any good but that didn\’t stop him from trying to teach me. Ruben you\’ll never be forgotten and you\’ll be missed my so many, love you bro and keep an heavily eye on all of us.
Angel and I have been friends since we were about 8 years old. So when I saw how happy Ruben made her, I knew we’d be fast friends. I loved his honesty and boldness. In a world with so many pretenders, it was refreshing to meet a true individual like him. This picture was taken last Valentine’s day when they came out to visit us in New Mexico. My family and I will continue to pray for all of his loved ones. I hope you all find comfort during this extremely difficult time.

I never got a chance to meet Ruben but I know he was the love of my cubby buddy’s life! I will pray for strength for all loved ones and may he always RIP!
So sad. Ruben was an amazing guy and friend. Loving and accepting. Many fun and crazy nights and great memories were had. RIP buddy, you’re healed and no longer in pain watching over us.

Ruben, we met in 2009 and you were one of the BEST friends I’ve ever had. You were undoubtedly the most sarcastic ass I knew but you were also one of the sincerest and kindest friends I’ve ever had. I will miss you dearly and you being gone is so surreal. We will see each other again in another life. I can’t wait.

I knew Ruben back in highschool and he was always a super funny guy with a positive attitude. I’m sorry to hear of his passing and wish the best for his family.
