Rudolfo Torres Rios (Rudy) passed away at 8:00pm, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 with family by his side in San Antonio, Tx. He was born in Houston, Tx April 14, 1929.
Rudy is survived by his ex-wife, Layda Rios; step-daughters, Diana M. Guadiano and Gloria J. Thomas(Danny); sons, David A. Rios, Daniel J. Rios (Faith), and Ronald Rios; daughter, Belinda Rios-Marlatt (Charlie) and 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Ronnie Rios.
Rudy was a seaman in the U.S. Navy and worked many years for the San Antonio Independent School District from which he retired.
Viewing will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at MeadowLawn Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00 pm.
We will be departing from Meadowlawn funeral home at 11:00 am to St. Gerard Catholic Church for a Mass at 11:30 am on April 16, 2015. Burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston at 1:00pm.

A la familia del Sr. RÃos, que la promesa de Jehová Dios hallada en su palabra la Biblia Hechos 24:15 ‘Tengo esperanza en cuanto a Dios……de qué va a haber una resurrección’ Estas palabras nos dan confianza y esperanza y no ver la muerte como el fin ,sino como una breve pausa a la vida. Dios promete devolverlas la vida a nuestros seres queridos que duerme en la muerte para vivir en un mundo mejor como lo describe Revelación 21:4. Si juntó con nuestros seres queridos que serán resucitados viviremos para siempre en la tierra sin más sufrimiento.
