Santiago Zuniga Perez, affectionately known as “Jimmy,” was born on May 1, 1935, in San Antonio, Texas, and passed away peacefully in his hometown on December 10, 2025. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and great-grandfather whose warm spirit and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

I will always remember how he taught me to make homemade tortillas patiently guiding me, smiling as he made his little tortillas And I’ll never forget the days we all gathered to make tamales, with the children laughing, learning, and playing around us. Those moments were filled with warmth, family, and love.
I also cherish our late nights sitting around a fire, talking, laughing, and simply enjoying being together as a family. Those quiet moments, the glow of the fire, and the peace of just being in each other’s company will forever stay in my heart.
I remember his laugh, his hugs, and the way he loved each and every one of us. He was a wonderful dad, a caring father-in-law, an amazing grandpa, and a friend to so many. His presence made life brighter, and his love touched countless hearts.
He will be greatly missed, but I find comfort knowing he is now reunited with his wife, his parents, his son, his daughter, and so many loved ones who went before him. I can almost see them all laughing and enjoying their heavenly reunion.
One day, I know we will see them again. Until then, we carry his love with us.
We love you, Dad Always
